Here is some real magic for graphics such as photos. The Transform Tools on the IPS3 Authoring Toolbar and the picture properties settings combined with IntelliMation give you the power to have them fly in, spin, shrink or grow, open from a skinny line, and more!
You can't use the Transform Tools on movies, but you can use IntelliMation and adjust the size manually to create fly-in effects.
These are multi-step tricks, so the best way to learn them is by looking at some examples that already do each one, and then follow a tutorial. Here is a list of the Transition effects covered by the examples:
