This collection of five templates and thirty activities were developed as the direct result of working with teachers and therapists who requested that we build simple cause and effect templates and activities, as well as templates and activities that move beyond this spectrum into the simple choice arena.
Behind the scenes, the 2-Button activities capture all of the child's responses and a report is automatically generated so that the teacher can review a child's work and make well-informed decisions in support of classroom assessment and on-going instruction.
In support of the templates and activities, tutorials (Word and PDF format) and other documentation are provided to assist you in the use of the activities and templates. The activities will run with the IntelliPics Studio 3® player (included) but data recording, creating new stories with the templates or modifying the stories requires the full version of IntelliPics Studio 3®.

The Simple Template and resulting stories and activities have an invisible button on top of each page. As the child clicks upon the page either with a switch, an IntelliKeys® keyboard/overlay or a standard mouse, a resulting action or series of actions occur.

These actions may include IntelliMations, imported sounds and voice recordings being played, pictures and images transitioning (changing size and shape), text being read, and pages automatically being turned; or any combination of these actions dependent upon the activity's design.

This format is very flexible. Stories and activities range from fanciful, like the Nardidian Thanksgiving, to factual stories like My Summer Trip. The age level varies from very young, for Mr. Lion and Mr. Horse, to upper elementary and Middle school, with A Holiday Tale.
The Two Button Templates and activities provide several formats whereby a wide variety of content can be presented. These activities go one step beyond simple cause and effect, by presenting two choices on a page. With this simple but powerful format, we have prepared activities in many curriculum areas, including language arts, math, science, and life skills. The age or skill level is determined by the content, and ranges from very young through upper elementary grades.

The templates and resulting activities also have a wide variety of appearances. In some cases, they include large visible buttons with varying picture content to choose from. Others have IntelliMations play, a question presented and then a choice of two buttons to describe the IntelliMation and answer the question.

Other activities have invisible buttons overlaying background subject matter and content. In the latter case, the child then clicks on an object on the screen to answer the question rather than clicking on a visible button.

The templates also provide a variety of choices in presenting the question to the child. The child can read the question silently, have the question read from a text box automatically, or the question can be presented via a recorded voice.
