Here is your chance to try out and get a sneak peak at the type of study units we have developed for The Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. Since each study unit in the collection is an integrated whole, it isn't possible to put up individual gridsets as samples. Instead, we have prepared a set of Goodies for you using many of the templates from "Wonders" but with new material, new photos, and new videos! Download any or all of the free Goodies for a taste of our magic as it appears in Clicker 5. If you have already purchased any of the "Wonders" collection, this will also give you some add on mini-units sincesome of these Goodies fit right into the collection. Look at the brief descriptions below and then link to a page with a more detailed description of each Goodie and a download link. The files you download will be compressed as .zip files, and you need to decompress the files before installing. Once you decompress the file, be sure to read the detailed "How to Install" document you will find in the folder for each Goodie. | |

In The Wintertime | |
| This short book developed in Clicker 5's Make a Book template documents various things that occur in winter. The items range from snowstorms and hazardous conditions, to beautiful snow filled landscapes, to sledding and skiing. This booklet is meant to provide an initial introduction to wintertime things.
An additional gridset entitled "In The Wintertime Writing" provides a Clicker Writer gridset to allow children to write about Wintertime items. | |

Chiswell Islands Unit | |
The Chiswell Islands study unit is comprised of two gridsets and a luncher grid, and can be utilized as a standalone study unit or as an additional support to the Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. The opening launcher screen gives students access to the two included gridsets, A Trip To The Chiswell Islands and The Chiswell Islands Journal. In the anchor book students take a virtual tour to the Chiswell Islands in the Gulf of Alaska. Students encounter sea otters, Steller sea lions, and three types of indigenous birds. They then write about their experiences in The Chiswell Island Journal. The journal gridset includes thirteen of the photos from the tour with which students can illustrate their journals. | |

Snails | |
The Snails study unit is comprised of two gridsets and a launcher grid. The opening launcher grid gives students access to the two main gridsets, the Snails anchor book and a comprehension book, What Do You Know About Snails?. In the Snails book students take a close-up look at the common garden snail (i.e. its physical characteristics and its behaviors). The comprehension book, What Do You Know About Snails?, provides students with an opportunity to show what they have learned from the anchor book and uses photos to remind them of the subject matter. Molting | |
The Molting study unit is comprised of two gridsets which can be utilized as a standalone study unit or as an additional support to the Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. This study unit looks at several types of molting and provides a basis for students to explore this topic. The opening launcher screen gives students access to the two included gridsets, the Molting anchor book and comprehension book, What Do You Know About Molting?. In the Molting book students first read a chapter on molting in various animal types. In the subsequent chapters students learn about molting in birds, reptiles, and in arthropods including insects. The comprehension book provides students with an opportunity to show what they have learned about molting and uses photos to remind them of each chapter's subject matter. An answer sheet for teachers' use is included. | |

Tropical Rainforest Butterflies | |
Tropical Rainforest Butterflies can stand alone or be used with "Exploring the Tropical Rainforest", one of the eight units of the Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. In the book, a guide named Ernesto takes the children on a guided tour of the rainforest and explains the habitat and feeding habits of the butterflies. At different junctures within the book, students are presented with questions linked to what they have just encountered, and students write into Clicker Writer to answer them. | |

Manatees | |
The three gridsets of Manatees can be utilized as a standalone study unit or used with "Exploring the Oceans", one of the eight units of the Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. The opening launcher screen gives students access to the three included gridsets, the Manatees anchor book, a comprehension book, and a writing book. The anchor book provides students with information regarding the physical size and characteristics of manatees, where they live, their native habitats, and their migratory paths. In the next book, children demonstrate their reading comprehension of the Manatees anchor book. The final book gives the student a chance to write about the manatee. | |

Migrations | |
The Migrations study unit is comprised of three gridsets which can be utilized as a standalone study unit or as an additional support to the Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. This study unit looks at several types of migrations and provides a basis for students to explore this topic. The opening launcher screen gives students access to the three included gridsets, the Migrations anchor book, a comprehension book, and a review/writing book. In the Migrations book students first read a chapter on migration and what it means to migrate. In the subsequent chapters students learn about Ocean Migrations, Bird Migrations and Other Migrations. The next book provides students with an opportunity to show what they have learned about migratory animals and their routes. The writing book gives students with an opportunity to review photos and then write about what they have learned. | |

Fire and Fire Fighting | |
This study unit is comprised of two related gridsets, the anchor reading book Fire and Firefighting, a writing template. The opening launcher screen gives students access to the two gridsets. The reading book, Fire, provides students with a close-up look at a fire and how firefighters fight the fire. Sound effects (fire engine soundtrack), numerous photographs and short videos provide the student with a vivid view of what it is like to fight a major fire. In the Firefighting book, students are reminded through pictures and text about what they read in the Fire book. They are then provided with two opportunities to write about what they have seen and learned in the form of two pages with questions to answer in Clicker Writer. | |

Katrina Animal Rescues | |
This study unit is comprised of two related gridsets, the anchor reading book Katrina Rescues and Katrina Rescues Writing, a chance for students to express their thought after reading this moving book. The opening launcher screen gives students access to the two gridsets. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, numerous rescue teams arrived in the New Orleans area to assist in the rescue of the animals and pets that people were forced to leave behind. The Katrina Rescues book provides a photographic look as well as textual account of the rescue work done by the volunteers of one team of rescuers who came from Pasado's Safe Haven in Monroe, Washington. In Katrina Rescues Writing, children are provided with additional photographs of the storm and its effects. Students are then given the opportunity to write about their feelings regarding the storm as well as what they would have done if they were involved in the rescue mission. | |
