The 3-2-1 for IntelliTools Classroom Suite contains over seventy finished activities and two easy to use templates which will allow teachers, therapists and other interested parties to quickly and easily build their own activities. The finished activities have been designed to provide both instructional materials as well as assessment opportunities for both students and educators. The 3-2-1 format is patterned after the State of Florida Department of Education’s Alternate Assessment format which is very similar to formats being used by other institutions around the country. The format provides students with an initial question and three (3) possible answers. If the student chooses the “correct” answer, the activity automatically goes to the next question in that subject area. If the student however chooses one of the two “incorrect” answers the activity moves to another page where the same question is read aloud to the student and two possible answers are now available. The incorrect answer that was originally chosen by the student has been removed. The student now has a choice of the remaining incorrect answer as well as the correct answer. If the student chooses the correct answer at level two (2) the activity moves to the next question. If however, the student chooses the second incorrect answer, the activity moves to the final page for that question. On that final page the student is presented with the same question and only one (1) possible answer which is the correct one. Please note: that as the student moves through each activity step, the student receives auditory feedback. Also, the student’s answers are automatically captured for both reporting and data collection purposes. Detailed reports are available through the IntelliTools student portfolio system. The seventy plus activities have been designed to help meet national and state standards for learning in the areas of Science, History, Geography, Mathematics, Language Arts, Early Skills, Life Skills and a Miscellaneous category. In working with a number of ‘beta” test groups as we built and tested the activities we have received excellent reviews from educators stating that they have successfully used these activities with white boards and various display devices for entire classroom instruction. Other groups have stated that they have also used the activities as a part of the initial assessment process for students. Please note that this product was not developed to be a “formal” assessment tool per se. but it will be used to augment that process in a number of school districts in the future. So let’s walk you through the process with a couple of activities. When you first get the CD you will simply import the entire CD into IntelliTools Classroom Suite via the import facilities. In so doing it will create a file which will include all of the activities and templates. When you open up the file, you will simply click on the “launcher” and the following screen will appear: |

| You then can click on any of the eight subject categories (i.e. Science, History, Geography, Language Arts, Mathematics, Life Skills, Early Skills or Miscellaneous).
Let’s click on the “History” tab first: When we click on that tab: we will receive the following screen which provides you with a number of finished activities as well as spaces where you can develop additional history activities and link them to the launcher. |

| When we do so, we will see the cover page for that activity as well as a pictorial representation of the individuals we will be asked questions about.
Let’s click the “First Page” arrow and go to the first page of the activity. |

| When the page is opened, the question is read aloud to the student and each word is highlighted as it is read. If the student wants to hear the question again they can click on the textbox and the question will be read again.
In this case, if the student chose “Abraham Lincoln” they would receive appropriate auditory feedback saying that they have chosen the correct answer and that Abraham Lincoln was the President of the United States during the American Civil War. The activity would then go automatically to the next question. If they however chose “Thomas Jefferson” as their choice they would automatically receive the following page: |

| As you can see the question will be read again and each word highlighted as it is read. If the student had incorrectly chosen “George Washington” on the first page, then they would receive this page instead. | |||||

| As you can see the incorrect choice that was first chosen has now been removed and the other incorrect choice and the correct choice are now presented. (Please note that the choices remain in the same position relative to the other choices throughout the activities).
If the student chooses the correct answer at level two (i.e. 2 choices) the activity will proceed to the next question. If however the student chooses the other incorrect choice the activity will proceed to the final page of that question. |

| On that final page the same question is presented and read aloud. The student is presented with only the correct choice. By clicking on the correct choice the student again receives auditory feedback in regards to their choice and then the activity moves on to the next question within the series.
Behind the scenes we are automatically capturing the answers chosen by the student showing not only what the question and correct answer was but also what they chose at each level of the activity and questions. So let’s look at another activity. But in this case, one from the Early Skills category, i.e. “Shapes”. When we click on the Early Skills tab on the launcher we receive a list of finished activities in that topical area. |

| Note: this activity varies from the first one as it is built on the second template. Here we do not have a button above and three choices below. Using this template we have the question below which is read out when the page is opened and then three choices presented on the three large buttons on the page.
If the student chooses the ‘square’ in the middle as the correct choice, the activity will proceed to the next question. The functionality and mode of operation is the same as the previously reviewed “historical” activity which was built upon template #1. If the student chooses the circle as an incorrect choice, the activity proceeds to a two (2) button choice format. |

| Again the incorrect choice which was originally chosen has now been removed and the other choices remain in the same relative position as previously displayed.
If the student had chosen the triangle as the correct choice on the original page they would then receive the following page: |

| If now the student were to choose the “square” as the correct answer on either of the two button pages, the activity would move automatically to the next question. If however, the student chooses incorrectly again, the activity will move to a final page for that question and display the following question and choice. | |||||

| When the student then clicks on the only choice, the activity will proceed to the next question in the set. Again all the responses are captured and reports are available through the student portfolio/reporting system.
Please note that all of the activities are fully accessible by IntelliKeys (i.e. overlays have been designed and are attached to all of the activities and templates), by switch users, touch screens and a number of Speech Generation Devices (SGDs). |
