Everyone is more aware of hurricanes after the severe and numerous storms last season. The Hurricanes book explores this severe weather phenomenon. |
|
Dramatic photos make the hurricane book a very gripping experience, taking the reader above and into the storm as the book explains how hurricanes form. More photos and appropriate sound effects illustrate what happens when a hurricane moves through. Children will also be exposed to potentially new vocabulary including "hurricane", "eye of the hurricane", "the storm surge", "the eye wall", and "flooding". The book is offered in an electronic format for computer use, but also can be printed and used as an additional self selected reading resource in your classrooms. |
