Dragonflies

"Dragonflies" is a book written in SoftTouch's My Own Bookshelf® It explores the characteristics and traits of dragonflies in a detailed manner. Children will learn that dragonflies are insects. The reader will also have the opportunity to observe through close up photographs that dragonflies have four wings, long bodies, six legs and two large eyes. They will also be able to observe the various colors of dragonflies and learn about their living close to water and what they eat.

"Dragonflies" is one of the eighteen books available on "The Animal Kingdom" CD from Learning Magic Inc. The books within this collection can be distinguished by the yellow (easier) and purple (standard) stars on the cover. "Dragonflies" is written at a late first grade reading (easier) level. The text can however be easily changed to meet individual student needs, if you own a copy of My Own Bookshelf®.
