Tropical Rainforest Butterflies can stand alone or be used as a further support to "Exploring the Tropical Rainforest", one of the eight units of the Wonders and Magic of Nature collection. In the book, a guide named Ernesto takes the children on a guided tour of the rainforest. As the trip progresses Ernesto explains the habitat and feeding habits of the butterflies. |

At different junctures within the book, students are presented with questions that they need to respond to. The questions are directly linked back to the information that has been presented previously in the book, and students write into Clicker Writer to answer them. The book is also includes photographs and short videos taken in the Costa Rican rainforests. The reading and science content is at a third to four grade academic level. |
