Magic Kingdom

This activity was built upon Learning Magic, Inc.'s Simple Template, which we first released on our Cause & Effect and BEYOND CD.

Magic Kingdom is the direct result of a teacher's request for us to develop something for a student who always wanted to go to Disney World, but due to being so profoundly involved physically was never able to make the journey.

So we have attempted to bring The Magic Kingdom to her. The journey begins at the Magic Castle, where Mickey Mouse and friends perform a welcome dance.

High quality videos bring it all to life, and later in the activity the student has a chance to choose four different areas to visit.

Caution: Because of the numerous double-size movies with musical soundtracks, this is a very big download and you need a fast connection. The larger and crisper images are worth the download time, especially for students with some visual impairment.

Please note that this activity requires only the single click of a mouse or the press of a button to navigate through the pages. Only on the final page of the activity does the student have to choose which place to go, and there the choices are limited to four.

Due to this child's short attention span, the movies on the latter pages were kept shorter to assist her in her learning. Magic Kingdom is appropriate for Grade 2 and upward depending upon the child.

This activity was built in Classroom Suite v. 3.2. The activity can be run on the ITAN Player. But IntelliPics Studio 3® is needed to perform data capture, automatic grading and portfolio management, as well as any editing or changes to the activity itself.
