The BlueBonnet Swamp Adventure is an activity built upon one of the templates found on the Learning Magic, Inc. "Adventures in Reading" CD. In this adventure children get to take a virtual walk along pathways into a swamp where they get exposure to both the plants and animals that live there. They read that the word "swamp" means a wetland area where trees grow out of the water. In contrast, a wetland where only grasses and reeds grow out of the water is called a "marsh". |

Children will learn about the general environment in the swamp and encounter animals along the way including but not limited to dragonflies, alligators, raccoons and owls. In a total of 15 pages children get to take eight different paths through the swamp. Spectacular photographs make the swamp exploration a vivid and realistic experience. |
