The Circulatory System

This activity was created in the Learning Magic "Text and Graphics TGCR" template, one component of our newest CD, Comprehension. The child is presented with up to ten pages of content. After each reading page there is a related page containing a multiple-choice question which tests and assesses the child's comprehension on the information provided. The Circulatory System activity has nine reading and question sets.

The child can either read the text or click on the text box to have it read aloud to them. Please note that on the Comprehension CD, the identical content is also available in an alternate template format that automatically reads the text and questions to the child. The combination of formats allows educators and others to test and assess both reading and listening comprehension of the content provided.

The activity provides a detailed description of the human body's circulatory system inclusive of the arteries, veins, capillaries, bone marrow, and the heart and its parts. A review of the components of our blood i.e. red and white blood cells, and platelets is also provided. The flow of our blood through the body including the lungs is also included.

Please note that this activity is but one of several anatomy-based activities available on the Comprehension CD. Each is designed and organized in similiar multiple formats to provide a wide range of information and access for all children who are entering into scientific exploration as a part of national standards for learning.
