Connect The Dots: Hummingbird

In this activity students first connect the dots in a sequential manner to draw the outline of a hummingbird. Once they are finished, the drawing outline will disappear and a photograph of a hummingbird sitting on a nest will be displayed. After a two second delay a close-up video of the hummingbird sitting on her nest and then flying away will be shown.

Note that this activity is a slight modification from the activities that are on the Learning Magic Suitcase Series for Clicker 5 CD. On the CD the sequential numbering component of the activity is essentially the same. Students are asked to connect the dots in a sequential order to complete the drawing. After the drawing is completed the activity will finish with a photograph of the object or other appropriate reward. The dual reward of both a photograph and a video as show in this activity however is not present in the sequential numbering activities on the CD.
