The Winter Storm

The Winter Storm is a book that provides over a dozen photographs and pages with written text that explains what occurs during and after a major snow storm. Students have the opportunity to read about and see photographs of a major snowstorm in progress, as well as the accumulation of snow that occurs in a white out. They secondly have the opportunity to read about the process of clean up that occurs including the use of large snow plows, individuals shoveling out their own driveways and the cleaning of snow off a car’s windshield.

Students also have the opportunity to read about and see photographs of some of the fun things that can occur after a major snowfall including cross country skiing, sledding and building of snowmen or snow women.
