Please see the description of the CD and its contents in the Products/SoftTouch section of our website. In this book we ask the question “What Is A Mammal?” The photographs and textual content of the book explains and illustrates what are the characteristics of animals that are classified or grouped as mammals (i.e. have hair, feed milk to their young, and are warm blooded).

Over twenty photographs of different mammals (both land and marine) are presented in the book. From sea otters to blue whales, from chipmunks to African Elephants, students read about and see how each of these animals is alike. Similar to our other national standards based books the textual content of these books can be easily changed to create secondary or third versions of the books for students with different reading abilities within your classroom. The books can also be easily printed out in multiple formats. In hundreds of classrooms across the country and abroad, our My Own Bookshelf based books are available in both classroom libraries and book bins as well as on the computer. |
