Ostriches

The Ostriches book provides a close up look at the largest of the largest birds in the world. Close up photographs and videos of the bird provide insights both into the bird’s characteristics and the habitat it lives in.

The physical characteristics of the long neck, big eyes and strong powerful legs are all helpful in its survival on the African Savannah. Needless to say African lions, hyenas and other predators are always lurking around, so the Ostrich has evolved in such a manner that its lack of flight does not mean that it is not a formidable in the wild.
