Wood Bison

The Wood Bison book provides a close up look at the largest of the North American land mammals. These magnificent animals are only found in Alaska and in parts of Canada. Much larger than their more commonly known cousins, the American Buffalo, the Wood Bison lives in northern forestlands.

Hunted almost to extinction, the Wood Bison is now making a comeback through careful conservation and protection in parts of Alaska and Canada.
